FARMVILLE, Va.- The Longwood Lancers (0-2) play their home opener after back-to-back road matches to start the season. The Lancers host Campbell (3-1) at Elizabeth Burger Jackson Field. 
 
History:
  • The Lancers and Camels have faced off 12 times, splitting an even 6-6 historical record.
  • Campbell won the most recent meeting between the two teams in 2023, 18-10.
  • The two programs haven't met since the Fighting Camels were members of the Big South. 
Catching the Camels:
  • Campbell has faced three Big South opponents this season, defeating Gardner-Webb 13-4, High Point 11-10, and Winthrop 16-15.
  • The Fighting Camels had an honorable mention in the CAA Pre-Season awards—defender Hailey Kohlmann.
  • Campbell's attacking unit is led by a trio of threats, Paige White (nine goals, five assists), Emily Wilson (five goals, five assists), and Caroline Laur (six goals, two assists). A total of 12 players have scored in their first three matches. 
  • Adria Welsh (2-1) is the anchor in the goal for Campbell. Welsh has posted 32 saves and a .457 save percentage this season.
  • On the defensive end, two threats stand out for Campbell: Hailey Kohlmann (16 caused turnovers, 18 ground balls) and Kendall Wilson (11 caused turnovers, seven ground balls). 
  • The circle team has three standouts: Emily Wilson (eight draw controls, three caused turnovers), Bridget Ahlgreen (Seven draw controls, three caused turnovers), and Drew Watkins (10 draw controls, three caused turnovers).

  • Longwood has been sharing the rock; seven different players have scored in the Lancers' first two outings: Madison Rogers (five goals, two assists), Alexandra Hirst (three goals, one assist), Jordan Fitzgerald (two goals), Bailey Stratton (two goals), Montgomery Bedford (one goal), Kendra Defilippo (one goal), and Ava Bower (one goal).
  • Ava Bower was named Big South Freshman of the Week (2/10/2026) for her showing against Coastal Carolina, where she posted one goal, one caused turnover, and two draw controls. 
  • Five of the seven scoring Lancers are freshmen or sophomores.
On the Circle:
  • The Draw team for Longwood has been solid to start the season with a mix of upper and underclassmen.
  • Alexandra Hirst and Jordan Fitzgerald, with seven draw controls each, have been the top players on the circle for Longwood.
  • Eight different players have a draw control for Longwood.

  • Isabella McCullough (0-2) posted 17 saves, a career high, against William & Mary in the team's last outing
  • In this showing, McCullough pushed her career saves to 101 saves. 
  • In the Big South, McCullough currently sits in second place for saves per game (10 per game), just behind Wofford's Hannah Taylor. She sits fourth in save percentage.
  • In NCAA rankings, McCullough is 13th in saves per game and 29th in saves.
