FARMVILLE, Va. — First-year Longwood women's lacrosse head coach Faith Flanagan announced the addition of Jovie Noack as a graduate assistant coach on Thursday.
Noack, an attacker from Center Moriches, N.Y., played two seasons of lacrosse Notre Dame College in South Euclid, Ohio, before transferring to Wheeling University for her final two seasons in 2025 and 2026. Flanagan played a season with Noack at Notre Dame in 2023 prior to joining that staff as a graduate assistant herself.
"I'm thrilled to welcome Jovie to our Longwood family," said Flanagan. "Having been her teammate and later her coach, I've had the opportunity to see firsthand the passion, work ethic and leadership she brings every day. She has a tremendous ability to connect with student-athletes and leads by example both on and off the field. I have no doubt she will make an immediate impact on our program and I'm excited to see the relationships she'll build while helping our team continue to grow and compete at a high level."
Noack, a two-time second-team all-Mountain East Conference selection and team captain at Wheeling, appeared in 42 games with 29 starts between both schools, scoring 61 goals and 38 assists. As a junior in 2025, Noack scored 31 goals and added six assists for 37 points. She also broke the Wheeling single-game record for goals, collecting 10 in a 22-9 win over Allegany on Dec. 8, 2025.
As a senior, she scored 25 goals and 12 assists for 37 points with one game-winning goal on the way to all-Mountain East honors again.
"I'm so excited to join the Longwood staff," Noack said. "I had the opportunity to play with Faith as a teammate and later be coached by her, so getting the chance to now work alongside her is incredibly special. I'm grateful for this opportunity and can't wait to get to work with our student-athletes and help continue the program's success."
Noack got her feet wet in the coaching profession working with the Long Island Elite Yellow Jackets as an assistant coach in the summer of 2024. She mentored youth players in skill development and confidence, while designing and implementing drills for performance and game readiness.
Noack graduated from Wheeling in May 2026 with a degree in communications and is pursuing her MBA at Longwood.
