MACON, Ga.- The Longwood Lancers (3-10, 2-5 Big South) travel to Macon, Georgia to face the Mercer Bears (10-6, 7-0 Big South) in the final game of the regular season.
 
History:
  • The two squads have faced off seven times.
  • Mercer leads the series 5-2.
  • The last matchup took place last spring, with Mercer winning 19-1.
Battling with the Bears:
  • Caroline Glus has been a three-time Big South player of the week this season and leads Mercer with 52 goals. She has added 10 assists and 16 ground balls.
  • Sofia D'Angelo follows closely on attack with 38 goals and 13 assists, and Ansley Walters (22 goals, five assists), Gabby Brisbin (20 goals, seven assists) and Abby Vane (20 goals, seven assists) all have scored at least 20 goals.
  • Maya Maldonado leads the team with 16 assists while adding 17 goals.
  • Ayla Galloway has been the key player on the draw this season, with 148 draw controls.
  • Walters has been a key factor on defense as well, recording 19 caused turnovers and 21 ground balls.
  • Mackenzie Ward (10-6) has been the key netminder for Mercer, with 101 saves and .421 save percentage. 
Roger Roger:
  • Madison Rogers has been the leading attacker for the Lancers this season with 34 goals.

  • Senior midfielder Kendra DeFilippo has been a key cog amid the youth of Longwood's offense this season.
