FARMVILLE, Va.- The Longwood Lancers (3-9, 2-4 Big South) host Radford (3-12, 2-4 Big South) for their final home match of the regular season on Wednesday night.
 
History:
  • This is the 10th meeting between the two teams.
  • The Lancers lead the series 6-3.
  • The last matchup was in 2025 with a 17-13 win for Longwood. Ellie Rumbaugh led the way with four goals, and Kendra DeFilippo and Jordan Fitzgerald both had hat tricks.
Hunting the Highlanders:
  • The Radford offense is led in scoring by Mady Cheney (27 goals, two assists), while Evie Gee (23 goals, 11 assists) and Ashlyn Bell (16 goals, three assists) are second and third, respectively, in goals.
  • Maddy Driscoll (13 goals, 22 assists) leads the team with 35 points, while Gee is second with 34.
  • Cheney leads the Highlanders on the circle, with 47 draw controls, and Hanna Hanger follows behind her with 28 draw controls. 
  • Sam Flippo has been a menace on defense, with 43 caused turnovers and 40 ground balls. She has been awarded defensive player of the week twice this season.
  • In goal, Ava LaManna has posted 115 saves, 26 ground balls, and a 0.409 save percentage. 
  • In the Big South, Driscoll is third for assists per game, and Flippo leads in caused turnovers per game.
Rogers Dodger:
  • Madison Rogers has been the leading attacker for the Lancers this season.
  • She has a team-best 31 goals to go with five assists.
  • The sophomore has added 16 ground balls and six caused turnovers.
  • Rogers is sixth in the Big South for goals per game. 
  • She has scored multiple goals in a game for eight straight contests.
Youthful Attack:
  • Three sophomore Lancers beyond Rogers have been a big part of the team's offense: Alexandra Hirst (12 goals, 11 assists), Bailey Stratton (15 goals, three assists), and Sarah Forman (Four goals, 12 assists). 
  • Forman's 12 assists are tied for the team lead.
  • 71 of the teams' goals have been scored by underclassmen.
  • Sarah Forman is currently tenth in assists per game in the Big South.
FitzMagic:
  • Jordan Fitzgerald has been an effective two-way midfielder for Longwood.
  • With 12 goals, three assists, 37 draw controls, 10 caused turnovers, and 13 ground balls.
  • In the Big South, Fitzgerald is fifth in draw controls per game. 
Dedicated Defense:
  • The defensive unit is led by Zenie Newsom (17 caused turnovers, 30 ground balls) and Lily Stohlman (16 caused turnovers, 23 ground balls).
  • Peyton Daley has been a standout in her freshman campaign, with 22 caused turnovers and 22 ground balls. She has earned Big South freshman of the week honors this season.

Backstopped by Bella:
  • Isabella McCullough (3-9, 2-4) has been the key netminder for Longwood and has 123 saves, 18 ground balls along with a 0.456 save percentage.
  • McCullough is second in the Big South for both save percentage and saves per game. In the nation, McCullough is seventh in saves per game, 28th in save percentage, and 23rd in saves. 
  • In the team's last outing, McCullough posted 11 saves with 11 goals allowed.
  • Earlier this season, she posted 21 saves to set a school record against Liberty. 
  • McCullough has hit 201 career saves after their last match against Gardner-Webb.
