MACON, Ga. – Longwood women's golf closed out the Brickyard Collegiate tied for eighth in the 10-team field on Tuesday.

Abigail Sheldon and
Breanna Hoese both finished in the top 25 of the 63-player field on the Par 72, 6,171-yard course at the Brickyard Golf Club.

NOTABLE RESULTS:

The Lancers shot a 314-326—640 (+64) over the course of two rounds. The team did not play on Monday due to inclement weather. Instead, the Lancers played the opening round on Sunday in lieu of a practice round before returning to the course on Tuesday.

Sheldon tied for 21
st after firing a 74-82—156 (+12). She had four birdies over the two rounds for Longwood.

Hoese, meanwhile, moved up four spots into a tie for 24
th with her 79-78—157 (+13). She made par on her final three holes and on six of her last eight in the second round. She also had three birdies at the tournament.

Aine Martin, competing as an individual, tied for 38
th following a two-round score of 77-83—160 (+16).
Ester Choi tied for 43
rd with an 80-82—162 (+18).

Freshman
Chiara Wippert posted an 81-83—164 (+21) to tie for 52nd, and
Hannah Wang had an 82-84—166 (+22) to tie for 56
th.

The regular season is complete, and the Lancers head to the Big South Championship, which begins on Sunday, April 13 at the Fripp Island Golf Resort.
