BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Longwood men's cross country put together a strong showing at the Paul Short Run in the Men's College Brown 8K.

Clinton Clancy ripped off a personal best that was also the sixth-fastest time in team history to lead a set of strong times today.

NOTABLE RESULTS:

Clancy led the Lancers with a sub-26 time when he posted a 25:48.7 to finish in 78
th in the 314-runner field.
Â
That helped the Lancer men finish 30
th out of 40 teams in the Brown 8K as the team posted a 26:35.6 average team time.
Â
While Clancy, a junior, led the way, the next four Lancers were all underclassmen, with
Andrew Hathaway finishing 116
th with a 26:14.0 that was just outside the top 10 times in team history. Hathaway's time was more than 30 seconds better than his personal best.

Freshman
Jaiden Santos-Nguyen finished 158
th with a 26:32.4 that shaved more than 30 seconds off his personal best.
Â
Fellow freshman
AJ Koval finished 194
th with a 26:53.0, and
Sean Arjona was the final scoring member, finishing in 247
th with a time of 27:29.9.

Andrew Rutherford clocked a solid 27:44.5 while finishing in 261
st, and
Javier Roldan finished in 279
th with a 28:09.7.
Josh Martin rounded out the team with a 29:12.8 to finish in 299
th.

In addition, the team had six runners compete in the Open 8K earlier in the morning.

Andrew Schaefer ripped off a personal-best time of 26:55.3 that was a full 45 seconds faster than his previous best. He finished 300
th.

Christian Reid finished 355
th with a time of 27:23.3, and
Nic Williams was on his heels in 360
th with a 27:25.4 that also was nearly two minutes lower than his previous best.

Louis Semtner, a freshman, had a personal best time of 27:31.3 to finish 373
rd, and
Misha Wiley finished 419
th with a 27:57.0.
Bryce Christian was 439
th with a 28:12.9

Brooke Craig. "It was good to see some major breakthroughs for a lot of our guys. We have some fine tuning to do before conference, but they are in a good spot for this time of year."
