CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Longwood men's cross country wrapped up the fall campaign with more personal bests at the NCAA Southeast Regional this morning.

AJ Koval and
Clinton Clancy both posted times that broke into the top 10 in team history as the Lancers finished 32
nd in the 10K race.

NOTABLE FINISHES:

Koval raced his way to a 33:06.6 that was the fourth-fastest 10K in team history, surpassing Robert Willis's time from 2014. That time allowed the freshman to finish 155
th in the 240-runner field.

Clancy, meanwhile, was right behind him with a 33:15.4 that was the fifth-fastest time in team history. He also finished 162
nd, seven spots behind Koval.

Andrew Hathaway made his debut at the distance and recorded a 33:50.4 to finish 183
rd as the third finisher on the team.

Sean Arjona also made his debut at the distance and finished with a 34:35.2 to finish 209
th.
Javier Roldan rounded out the grouping with a 36:09.0 to finish 230
th.

"AJ and Clinton set out to get on the 10K leaderboard, and they accomplished that by working together the whole race," said Longwood Director of Cross Country and Track & Field
Brooke Craig. "Solid debuts at the distance for Sean and Hathaway. It's been a growing year for the team with a freshman and sophomore heavy squad, but they have raised the standard for this program."
