FARMVILLE, Va. – Scott Jordan was named the Big South Men's Golfer of the Week, the conference office announced this afternoon.
Â
Jordan posted back-to-back-to-back rounds below par, and the Lancers followed suit to break their team scoring record with a 278-279-282—839 (-13). Longwood finished behind only the host team, Marshall, at the Joe Feaganes Invitational.
Â
For Jordan, his three-round score powered him into his best finish—tied for third—after he notched a 69-68-70—207 (-6).
Â
His score tied the seventh-lowest raw score in team history.
Â
The result comes after he was All-Big South Honorable Mention a season ago and ranked 11
th in the Big South in scoring average.
Â
The Lancers return to the course next week when they head to the Wolfpack Intercollegiate, hosted by N.C. State, on Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 16-17, at The Club at 12 Oaks in Holly Springs, North Carolina.
