WHAT THEY SAID:
"After a couple fairly benign hours to start play this morning, scoring definitely got much more difficult as the day went on," said Longwood Head Coach
Kevin Fillman. "Once the winds kicked up midway through the early round, the holes that played into it became really tough, so it was extremely important to take advantage of the downwind holes in order to score. While a few of us did a pretty good job on those holes, which kept us within shouting distance of the lead, we weren't fully able to do so."
"David played a great round this morning, and what Cam and Matt [Hartley] did in the afternoon are the reason we're still hanging around with a chance," Fillman added. "Our main goal for tomorrow is to do a better job of keeping everybody involved the entire round. When that happens, I think it'll be interesting to see how they add up in the end."
