WHAT THEY SAID:
"Scoring doesn't necessarily show it, but I thought today was a better day to score than yesterday," said Longwood Head Coach
Kevin Fillman. "It was cold and brisk, but at least the wind was much lighter for most of the day. It's unfortunate that we weren't able to take full advantage and move ourselves up the leaderboard. We played plenty of under-par holes to put a really good score on the board this week. Inconsistency killed us—we just had way too many poorly played holes that prevented us from being near the lead."
"I was happy to see Hunter bounce back today and put up a solid number," Fillman added. "With just over a month until the Big South Championships, it's getting to be the time where we need to figure out who can help us win that week. Hunter should be one of the guys leading that charge, but we're going to need him and a few others to step up and show more consistency. We will certainly keep working on it."
