Â
Landis, meanwhile, tied for fifth to earn a spot on the Big South All-Championship Team, the first Lancer to do so since Ariel Witmer in 2013.

NOTABLES:
Â
For the Lancers, the fourth-place finish is the team's best performance since finishing third in 2013, their first year in the Big South. However, it is the team's first trip to match play, with the Big South instituting match play in 2021.
Â
Landis posted an even par round after knocking five strokes off her day two score. It was her second top five finish of the season, and she finished in the top five in the field in both Par 3 and Par 5 scoring average.
Â

Landis led Longwood with nine birdies, good for sixth-most in the field, to go with a team-best 33 pars as well. Much like yesterday, Landis closed strong. She was three under on the back nine, and she had five birdies in the round.
Â
Jennings, also a senior with Landis, posted a solid round with a 75 to finish tied for 11
th. She played steady golf throughout the day, posting nothing worse than a bogey. She had one birdie.
Â
Both
Ester Choi and
Breanna Hoese carded matching 77s, with Choi closing well. The Lancer junior posted an even back nine with one birdie and one bogey to go with seven pars.
Â
Meanwhile, Hoese finished the back nine one over while making two birdies. She moved up two spots into a tie for 26
th.
Â
Lauren Sims also limited any negative plays, posting nothing worse than a bogey through her final round to finish tied for 20
th.
Â
WHAT THEY SAID:
Â
"I'm so proud of the team!" said Longwood Head Coach
Megan Weaver. "It's really been a team effort too. All other schools making it into match play had at least one player shoot a round under par. Emma had a great round of 72 today, especially with two double-bogeys. Everyone has had lower rounds throughout the year. We have shown our depth, which should make us a threat here tomorrow! I'm excited to see the team move on to the match play portion for the first time in school history!"
Â
UP NEXT:
Â
Longwood will take on Charleston Southern, who finished first in stroke play, in the Big South Match Play Semifinals. Match play begins at 8 a.m., with the winning team advancing to play the winner of High Point and USC Upstate.
