CHARLESTON, S.C. – Ester Choi finished off the Rivertowne Invitational with her best finish of the season on Tuesday.

The junior finished tied for 11
th in the 81 player field, and the Lancers were ninth out of 15 teams. Longwood beat a pair of Big South foes in Winthrop and Radford.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

Longwood finished two shots ahead of Winthrop and 22 shots ahead of Radford. Seven Big South teams were in the field, as the Lancers finished just two shots back of UNC Asheville and four back of USC Upstate.

Choi closed with a final-round 75 for her best three-round score of the season by nine strokes. She tied for second in the field with 13 birdies, and she added 27 pars in the 54-hole event.

Annabelle Jennings climbed seven spots into a tie for 24
th on the final day with her final round of 75. She had four birdies in her final round and finished with nine at the event.

Emma Landis moved up into a tie for 40
th with her best round of the two-day event, a 75. She had three birdies on the final day.

Lauren Sims carded a 79 and
Breanna Hoese had a 78, with each player tallying one birdie in the round.

WHAT THEY SAID:

"All the shots I saw today were well thought out and executed as planned," said Longwood Head Coach
Megan Weaver. "In between, we had too many doubles and triples for our overall finish to improve. Those couple strokes make a huge difference when there was only a four shot difference between sixth and ninth place."
"Ester had another solid round to complete her strong tournament finish," Weaver added.
