PALM CITY, Fla. – Longwood women's golf finished off a solid start to the spring on Tuesday at the Advantage Golf Partners Collegiate at the Hammock Creek Golf Club, hosted by UNC Greensboro.
Longwood closed its opening tournament seventh out of 14 teams, and both
Emma Landis and
Ester Choi finished in the top 20 in the 82 player field.

NOTABLES:
Landis finished tied for 15
th, her second-best finish of the season, on a day where only four players in the 82 player field finished below par.
She finished tied for ninth in the field with 37 pars and added three birdies over the three days while also never shooting anything worse than a bogey in 54 holes.
Choi finished tied for 18
th, just one shot behind Landis, while posting 39 pars in 54 holes of golf. Her 39 pars were tied for fifth-most in the field.
Annabelle Jennings moved up seven spots while carding one birdie on the day.
Lauren Sims added a birdie of her own, and Áine Martin moved up two spots on the final day.
WHAT THEY SAID:
"I'm proud of the team's finish for our first event," said Longwood Head Coach
Megan Weaver. "They battled through tough pin placements today. Ultimately, we beat some good teams, so it was a great start to the season! Emma and Ester both finished top 20. There were lots of positives to give us momentum going into the season. We will continue to hone in on short game to improve in the coming weeks."
