Â
WHAT THEY SAID:
Â
"Today went much the same way most of yesterday went," said Longwood Head Coach
Kevin Fillman. "We played a lot of good golf and had some really nice stretches, then would make a big number to pretty much unravel everything we had worked so hard to build. It's a very punishing golf course, so it's difficult to get through unscathed."
Â
"One of our goals for today was to limit our mistakes to bogey," Fillman added. "Unfortunately, we lost too many shots beyond bogey to have a chance to really accomplish what we had planned. We'll get back at it on Wednesday and be ready to go to Marshall."
