WHAT THEY SAID:

"Today went much the same way most of yesterday went," said Longwood Head Coach Kevin Fillman. "We played a lot of good golf and had some really nice stretches, then would make a big number to pretty much unravel everything we had worked so hard to build. It's a very punishing golf course, so it's difficult to get through unscathed."

"One of our goals for today was to limit our mistakes to bogey," Fillman added. "Unfortunately, we lost too many shots beyond bogey to have a chance to really accomplish what we had planned. We'll get back at it on Wednesday and be ready to go to Marshall."

UP NEXT:

Longwood heads to the Joe Feaganes Invitational on Monday and Tuesday, September 11-12, hosted by Marshall University.
