EDISTO ISLAND, S.C. – Annabelle Jennings finished off her best performance of the fall, and Longwood women's golf finished its last round at the Edisto Island Invitational.

Jennings carded a top 20 finish after finishing tied for 19
th, and the Lancers were 12
th out of 16 teams at The Plantation Course at Edisto.

Jennings had a trio of birdies in the final round to cap her best tournament so far this season. She excelled on Par 5s, with an average score below par for the weekend.

In addition, Jennings tied for the team lead with eight birdies, and she added 32 pars as well over the three days.

Longwood finished 12
th, 10 shots back of Jacksonville in 11
th place.

Breanna Hoese moved up a pair of spots with a final-round 75. She posted the best team score on Par 3s, where she averaged an even par. In addition, she had a pair of birdies in the final round.

Emma Landis and
Lauren Sims posted matching 78s in the final round, and
Ester Choi carded an 82.

"Mentally, the course beat us today," said Longwood Head Coach
Megan Weaver. "It was a challenge forgetting about the bad shots and holes from yesterday while again battling against the wind. I was proud with how positive the team remained as they persevered. We have a few things to focus on as we wind down into offseason to come out strong in February."
