NINETY SIX, S.C. – Annabelle Jennings was lights out for Longwood women's golf on day two of the Big South Championship. The sophomore shot an even-par 72 at The Patriot at Grand Harbor's 6,297 yard course for her best round of her collegiate career.
 
The Lancers matched their opening day score with a 305, but the five other teams put together sub-300 rounds to bump the Lancers down to sixth with a two-day total of 305-305—610 (+34). With one day of stroke play remaining, the Lancers sit one shot back of UNC Asheville (311-298—609, +33) in fifth and eight back of Charleston Southern (307-295—602, +26). The top four teams of the 11 team field qualify for match play on Saturday.
 
Jennings was excellent throughout the course on day two as she carded five birdies. Her two-day totale of 77-72—149 (+5) is good for a tie for fifth, and she leads the field with 10 birdies, three more than anyone else. In addition, the Chesapeake, Virginia native is second in the field in average score on par 5s.
 
Emma Landis put together a solid round, bouncing back after a tough first day. The sophomore carded a 74 for a two-day total of 80-74—154 (+10). Landis excelled in the second half of the day, shooting one-below par on the back nine with eight pars and one birdie. She is tied for 21^st.
 
Bobbi Uhl is tied for 19^th after 36 holes, shooting a 74-79—153 (+9). Her 23 birdies in the first two rounds are tied for 10^th most among the 55-player field. Ester Choi (75-81—156, +12) is tied for 28^th, and Diana Domenech (79-80—159, +15) is tied for 33^rd.
 
The Lancers tee off on Friday morning for the third and final round of stroke play.
