WHAT THEY SAID:
"While it was certainly not the best day to play, it was far from the worst conditions we've been out there in," said head coach
Kevin Fillman after his team's day one performance at the Ironwood Collegiate. "Obviously, Brendan handled it extremely well for much of the day. He started by going bogey-free his first 23 holes and, for the most part, that was in some of the toughest conditions. That's pretty impressive."
"Overall, most of us got sped up, lost some focus at times and got agitated way too often. We have to come out tomorrow with the intent to play the round we are capable of playing and see how far up the board we can move."
