FARMVILLE, Va. -- The Longwood women's basketball team got together for the program's annual photo day in Willett Hall, and senior
Mallory Odell was on hand to take Lancer fans through the action. Join Odell as she checks in with her teammates as they run the flashbulb gauntlet of action shots, team photos and all prep involved in the latest edition of LongwoodLancers.com's Sights & Sounds series.
This year's edition of Longwood women's basketball is the third under head coach
Rebecca Tillett, who last season led the program to a breakthrough 2019-20 campaign. Four of five starters return from last year's team, which amassed a program-record eight Big South wins and finished the year as the highest scoring team in the Big South. Among those are reigning Big South Freshman of the Year and All-Big South first-team selection
Kyla McMakin, Lieberman Award Watch List point guard
Tra'Dayja Smith, Big South All-Freshman Team selection
Anne-Hamilton LeRoy and reigning Big South blocks leader
Akila Smith.
The Lancers begin the 2020-21 season next Wednesday, Nov. 25, with a road trip to ACC powerhouse Duke.
Previous editions of the Sights & Sounds video series highlighted Longwood
field hockey,
women's soccer,
cross country,
