FARMVILLE, Va. -- Longwood baseball is back in action, and junior slugger Hunter Gilliam slapped on a microphone to give Lancer fans an inside look at practice.

In the latest edition of LongwoodLancers.com's Sights & Sounds series, the Farmville native Gilliam joined his fellow Lancers for a special Friday night practice at Buddy Bolding Stadium. As one of eight returning starting position players and eight upperclassmen, Gilliam and his fellow veterans are leading the program into a 2021 season that will be the seventh under head coach Ryan Mau.

Previous editions of the Sights & Sounds video series highlighted Longwood women's soccer, cross country, and softball, and more are on the way this fall.
