RICHMOND, Va. – The Longwood University men's tennis team earned its first win of the season with a 4-1 decision against Morgan State University on Sunday afternoon in Richmond, Va. Longwood returns to action on January 26 when the squad takes on Norfolk State University beginning at 11 a.m. in Greenville, North Carolina.
“I am very pleased with our win today,” said head coach
Jakob Gustafsson. “We are already improving as a team. A quote that is very applicable to our squad is: 'Give me a day and I'm good. Give me a week and I'm great. Give me sixth months and I'm unstoppable.' We are already good. We don't have another six months to become unstoppable, but we have enough time to become very tough to beat.”
