LORTON, Va. – Longwood University posted a final round of 296 Sunday in men's golf for a 54-hole score of 907 (311-300-296) to finish ninth among 13 teams at the CHAMP/Patriot Intercollegiate hosted by George Mason University of the Colonial Athletic Association and played at the Laurel Hill Golf Club in Lorton. The University of Missouri of the Southeastern Conference won the tournament with its score of 290-276-283--849 at the 7,010-yard, par 71 layout, while Missouri's Jace Long took individual medalist honors at four-under-par 73-69-67--209. Jason Schumacher|Glen Allen (Deep Run) led the Lancers with his score of 75-74-72--221 that tied for 22nd among the field of 81. Longwood will play again at the Donald Ross Intercollegiate on October 15-16, a 54-hole event hosted by Appalachian State University in Morganton, North Carolina.

Blake Carter|Bassett (Bassett) (77-81-81--239, 72nd). Jensen tied for first among the tournament field in eagles (1) and tied for fifth in par five scoring (-4, 4.67).
Missouri was followed among the top-10 by Pennsylvania (873), Villanova (874), Hofstra (877), Delaware (880), James Madison (887), Towson (896), Lafayette (898), Longwood (907) and host George Mason (909).
