Lauren Prasnicki|Lexington (Rockbridge County) also earned two points on one goal and one assist versus the Dragons (6-2). Longwood (1-5) will face the University at Albany of the America East Conference Friday, March 16 at 4 p.m., in Albany, New York.
Although Drexel held a 20-10 advantage in shots through the first half, the score remained close as the Dragons led 7-5 at halftime. The second half was another story as Drexel held the Lancers to just seven shots and three draw controls. Longwood also gave up a season-high 23 turnovers and allowed a season-high 43 shots through both halves.
Drexel charged out to a five-goal lead between 27:02 and 16:50 in the first half before Longwood answered by netting four-straight between 13:25 and 9:22, closed out by Prasnicki's goal. With 6:07 and 3:42 remaining, the Dragons scored their final two goals of the half before Brentlinger scored her first goal of the game with 1:37 on the clock to finish out the half.
Drexel's seven-goal run in the second period that started at 27:50 and ended at 12:48 put them ahead 15-6, and the Lancers couldn't recover as the Dragon's stringent defense kept them out of the net.
