NORFOLK, Va. – Longwood University lost a women's tennis match 4-3 at Old Dominion in Norfolk, Virginia Friday afternoon.  Sophomore Nicole Parker|Richmond (Mills Godwin) won at #6 singles 8-4, while junior Marta Pinyol|Barcelona, Spain (IESM Ferran Tallada) and sophomore partner Sarah Moomau|Winchester (John Handley) defeated their #2 doubles foe 8-6. LU remains in Norfolk to face Norfolk State tomorrow (Saturday), February 25 at 12 p.m.

Parker also won by default at #3 doubles along with junior Hannah Hill|Portsmouth (Western Branch). Hill played at #5 singles, falling 6-1, 6-1. Pinyol lost at #1 singles 6-1, 6-1, and Moomau was defeating her #4 opponent 1-0 before she retired.  Freshman Malin Allgurin|Värnamo, Sweden (Finnvedens Gymnasium) and junior partner Allison Shulman|Richmond (Deep Run) took the loss at #1 doubles 8-3, while Allgurin and Shulman lost at #2 and #3 singles, respectively, 6-4, 7-6 and 6-1, 6-1.
