LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Longwood University women's lacrosse team won its final regular season game with an 18-10 decision passed National Lacrosse Conference (NLC) opponent Liberty Thursday afternoon on the road in Lynchburg, Virginia. Freshman
Lauren Prasnicki|Lexington (Rockbridge County) carried the Lancers (9-7, 5-2 NLC) with four goals and one assist on the day. With the win, LU will enter the NLC tournament as the No. 3 seed, beginning Friday, April 29 with times and opponents yet to be determined.

Cara O'Brien|Arlington (Bishop O'Connell) with two goals each. O'Brien also tallied her 10th assist on the season – tied for third on the team – on the game's first goal by Stifler, and extended her team-high goals to 45.
Longwood held its biggest lead of the game twice, first at 17-8 at 2:36 remaining off a goal from Brentlinger who added the game-winner – her third of the season – earlier with 18:18 ticks on the clock. The other nine-goal lead came shortly after via junior

Juli Liebig|Centreville, Md. (Queen Anne's)played the duration in goal for Longwood, stopping seven shots and collecting two ground balls with as many caused turnovers. The Lancers outshot the Flames 38-22 and collected 18 draw controls to Liberty's 12. Longwood also converted four of its seven free position chances.
