GRASONVILLE, Md. – Longwood University posted a 54-hole score of 307-306-308--921 Saturday and Sunday in men's golf, tying for sixth place among 17 teams at the Fireline Towson Invitational hosted by Towson University and played at the Prospect Bay Country Club on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Kent State University won the event with its 296-285-298--879 at the 6,761-yard, par 72 layout. Senior
Michael Young|Oakville, Ontario (Oakville Trafalgar) led the Lancers with his 73-76-78--227 that tied for 17th in the field of 91, while Kent's John Hahn took individual medalist honors at 71-71-73--215. Longwood will compete again April 11-12 at the Wofford Invitational in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
