FARMVILLE, Va. – Longwood University women's lacrosse seniors
Christine Comeau/Whitby, Ontario (Sinclair Secondary School) and
Duan Wright/Church Hill, Md. (Queen Anne's) have been named to the 2010 IWLCA Academic Honor Roll. The teammates were two of 151 student-athletes from 62 institutions honored by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association.
Comeau, a physical education major and special education minor, scored two goals with one assist while starting all 18 games during her senior campaign. She added 23 ground balls and 15 caused turnovers. Wright, a liberal studies major with a concentration in elementary education, scored 11 goals with three assists while starting all 18 games. She added 32 ground balls and 19 caused turnovers.
The Lancers finished the 2010 season with a 10-8 record, including a perfect 6-0 in National Lacrosse Conference contests, and won their second consecutive NLC Championship.
