WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Longwood University shot a final round of 313 Sunday in women's golf for a 36-hole score of 621 (308-313) to finish third among 20 teams at the C&F Bank Intercollegiate hosted by the College of William and Mary on the Marsh Hawk course at Ford's Colony Golf Resort in Williamsburg. William and Mary won its own event, posting 308-304--612 at the 6,043-yard, par 72 layout. Junior
Kameron Carter/Bassett (Bassett) took individual medalist honors for the Lancers among the 112 collegiate golfers with her 73-73--146 for her first tournament win this year, and third of her career. Longwood will play again this week on Monday and Tuesday at the Lady Seahawk Classic hosted by UNC Wilmington in Wallace, North Carolina.
Carter won the event by one shot over both Megan Leineweber of Radford (147) and first-round leader Samantha Morrell of Old Dominion (147), and led the field in par 4 scoring (4.10, +2) while tied for second in birdies (5). She was followed by freshman

Longwood will compete during four-straight days with its participation early this week following the drive south to Wilmington Sunday evening.
