Biography

Head Coach Ali Wright: “After a summer dedicated to golf and her freshman year under her belt, Alexa has proven she is a key contributor in our lineup.  She has been inspiring to everyone around her because of the dramatic change in her scoring average.  In the weight room, Alexa has also become a leader while increasing her strength exponentially.”

Fall 2009: Averaged career-best 78.80 through 10 rounds … Fall-best and career-best 18-hole score (72) at Richmond/Spider Fall Invitational … Fall-best and career-best 36-hole score of 153 (78-75) at Elon/Sea Trail Women’s Intercollegiate … Fall-best and career-best 54-hole score of 226 (78-75-73) at Elon/Sea Trail Women’s Intercollegiate … Earned two Top 20 finishes.

2008-09: Averaged 87.22 through nine rounds … Season-best 18-hole score (81) during Longwood/Tina Barrett Invitational … Season-best 36-hole score of 174 (88-86) at Elon/Sea Trail Intercollegiate … Season-best 54-hole score of 256 (87-88-81) during Longwood/Tina Barrett Invitational.

High School: Played two years at South River (Md.) and two years at Orange County … Two-time All-District honorable mention and All Scholar-Athlete at Orange County … All-Area by The Free Lance Star as a senior … Finished ninth at 2007 Virginia High School Girls State Championships (77-84).

Junior/Amateur: Finished sixth at the 2009 Virginia State Golf Association (VSGA) Women’s Amateur Stroke Play Championship (78-75-73) … Advanced to the Quarterfinals of the 2009 VSGA Women's Amateur Championship, tying for seventh in qualifying (74) … Placed ninth at 2008 VSGA Girls State Championship (72-77) … Placed first in 2007 MAPGA event in Harrisonburg (72).

Personal: Majors in criminal justice, with a minor in computer security, forensics, and law … Grandfather (C. Robert Boucher) participated in track and field at the University of Maryland, holding the NCAA high jump record in the 1930's … Daughter of Donald and Erica Boucher.
