BETHANY BEACH, Del. – Longwood University posted rounds of 305 on Friday and 300 on Saturday in men's golf for a 36-hole total of 605 (305-300) to finish in second place among 22 teams at the George Washington Invitational hosted by George Washington University in Bethany Beach, Delaware. The University of Rhode Island won the event with its 601 (309-292), while the University of Delaware's Justin Martinson took individual medalist honors with his 71-74--145 at the 6,843-yard, par 72 Bear Trap Dunes Golf Club. Longwood will play again March 28-29 at the Towson Invitational to be played in Grasonville, Maryland.

Michael Young/Oakville, Ontario (Oakville Trafalgar) with his 73-75--148, good for a fifth-place tie among the 117 golfers. Young was followed by senior
