FRISCO, Texas — Longwood women's golfers Avery Nordman, Abigail Sheldon and Chiara Wippert have been named WGCA All-American Scholars for the 2025-26 academic year, the organization announced.
The WGCA recognized 1,551 women's collegiate golfers across all divisions as All-American Scholars, honoring student-athletes who have excelled both on the course and in the classroom.
To earn the honor, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher, remain on their team's roster through the conclusion of the season, and compete in at least 50 percent of the team's regularly scheduled rounds through the conference championship.
Nordman was named to the All-Big South second team was an All-Freshman Team honoree in her first season with the Lancers. The Ottawa, Ontario native ranked 12th in the Big South with a 75.87 scoring average, carding three top-10 finishes in her on the year.
Nordman earned Big South Freshman of the Week six times and Big South Golfer of the Week once.
Sheldon earned All-Big South honorable mention plaudits as a sophomore. The Boca Raton, Fla., product was third on the team in scoring average at 75.97, ranking 14th in the Big South.
Sheldon turned in three top-10 finishes on the season.
Wippert was named to the Big South All-Academic Team in 2025-26. The Berlin, Germany native played in nine tournaments while holding a 76.70 scoring average that ranked 16th in the Big South.
Wippert had four-top 20 finishes for the season.
