Weaver Sets 2026-27 Women’s Golf Schedule

Longwood to play 10 tournaments; Host event for first time since 2011

FARMVILLE, Va. — The Longwood women's golf team is set to play 10 tournaments in 2026-27, as fourth-year head coach Megan Weaver announced the schedule on Wednesday.

Longwood will host a its first tournament since March 2011 when the Lancers open the spring season with the Longwood Invitational at Jekyll Island on the Great Dunes Course in Jekyll Island, Ga., Feb. 22-23.

Before that, though, Longwood opens the fall at the 2026 Tribe Invitational on the Kingsmill River Course in Williamsburg, Va., on Sept. 7-8. The following week, the Lancers will take part in East Carolina's Pirate Collegiate Classic at Greenville Country Club on Sept. 14-15.

Longwood heads to the Marilyn Smith Sunflower Invitational at Kansas on Oct. 5-6 at Lawrence Country Club and then returns to Virginia to play at Richmond's Spider Invitational on Oct. 19-20 at Independence Golf Club in Midlothian. The Lancers close the fall at the UVA Invitational at the Keswick Club in Charlottesville Oct. 26.

Following the home tournament, the Lancers travel to the 2027 Daniel Island Invitational, hosted by the College of Charleston, at the Daniel Island Club on March 1-2. Longwood is at the City of Oaks Collegiate, hosted by NC State, March 21-22 at Lonnie Poole Golf Course.

The final regular-season event of the year is the Golfweek/Stifel Spring Challenge from March 29-31 at the Caledonia Golf & Fish Club in Pawleys Island, S.C.

The 2027 Big South Championship is slated for April 18-21 at Ocean Creek Golf Course in Fripp Island, S.C.
