GILBERT, Ariz. – A total of 14 student-athletes from the Longwood women's and men's tennis teams earned the 2026 ITA Scholar-Athlete distinction, the organization announced Monday.
To be eligible, student-athletes must have a grade-point average of at least 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale) for the current academic year and be listed on the institutional eligibility form.
Additionally, both the women's and men's teams earned ITA All-Academic Team honors. For that honor, teams must have at least a 3.2 GPA (on a 4.0 scale).
In all, 1,501 NCAA Division I women's tennis student-athletes earned Scholar-Athlete honors along with 1,008 more on the men's side. A total of 393 Division I teams were honored, including 231 women's squads.
