LYNCHBURG, Va. – Another meet, and another set of strong results are in the books for Longwood track and field as the team continues to ramp up for the Big South Championship in May.

Sophie Farley won the women's Frank Corsba Mile Invitational at the Dennis Craddock Coaches Classic on Friday and Saturday to lead the way.

NOTABLE RESULTS:

Farley won the women's mile invitational with a time of 4:52.17, but she was not the only event winner.
Â
Andrew Hathaway set the men's 800-meter record with a 1:53.34 to finish third in the race.
Â
Nyomi Rhodes had an outstanding day, setting personal bests, and team records, in the 100-meter hurdles, 100-meter dash and 200-meters. In the women's 100-meter dash, she finished second with a 12.17, bettering a personal best that she had run in the prelims by a quarter of a second.

Rhodes also ripped off a 14.63 in the 100-meter hurdles, where she finished third, and she posted a 25.28 to finish fourth in the women's 200-meters.

Rachael Zimmer also qualified for the finals in the women's 100-meter dash and finished fifth in the final with a 12.29.

Jeremiah Cyrus ran a 56.96 that helped him finish sixth in the men's 400-meter hurdles.
Â
Ayden Stewart posted a 22.06 in the men's 200-meters to finish seventh.
Â
Riley Humphries was fifth in the women's 800-meters with a 2:18.21.

In the women's 5,000-meter invitational,
Kirsten Morley clocked a personal-best time of 18.01.62 to finish fourth.

Amber Glass finished sixth in the women's high jump with a 1.45-meter effort. On the men's side of the jumps,
Kris Mickens (6.80-meters) and Mathew Fitzner (6.67-meters) finished fourth and sixth in the long jump, and Fitzner recorded a 13.50-meter effort in the men's triple jump to finish fifth.
