FARMVILLE, Va. – Longwood men's basketball, the Joan Perry Brock Center and Farmville, Virginia will be back in the national spotlight on Thursday, February 12.
 
The Lancer men have been selected to host the Big South Wildcard on ESPNU for a national TV audience when they host UNC Asheville at the JPB. It will be Healthcare Worker Appreciation Night, sponsored by Centra Southside Community Hospital. Healthcare workers and their families will receive up to four free tickets. It marks the third straight season that Longwood will host ESPN for the Big South Wildcard, and it is the sixth straight season that the team has been featured on national television.
 
This season, Longwood has already had a pair of sellouts in the Joan Perry Brock Center, and the Lancers rank second in the Big South in attendance. For tickets to any and all home games, head to www.longwoodlancers.com/tickets.
 
For the Big South, this will be the second Big South Wildcard matchup of four on the season.
 
Longwood (12-10, 4-3 Big South) is on the road on Thursday night, January 29 at 7 p.m. at USC Upstate. The team returns home to host High Point on Saturday at 3 p.m., and the game is sponsored by The Bank of Charlotte County. It is the Hall of Fame Celebration as well as Honors College Day.
