THE OPENING TIP
•    The Lancers wrap up a two-game homestand with Charleston Southern on Friday night after a winter storm shifted the matchup that was originally scheduled for Saturday at the Joan Perry Brock Center.
•    Friday's matchup will be the second of three home games in a four-game stretch for the Lancers after the team played three road games in a four-game stretch.
•    Third through seventh place in the Big South standings is separated by only two games, and only two teams have a winning streak of three games or more.
•    Longwood and Charleston Southern are two of the six teams in the nine-team league that boast winning records.
•    The team had a season-best six players score in double figures in the win over Gardner-Webb.
•    Longwood scored at least 90 points for the fifth time this season in the win as well.

LAST TIME OUT
•    Elijah Tucker and Jacoi Hutchinson led the way in a complete team win for Longwood over Gardner-Webb on Wednesday night, 91-56.
•    Tucker tallied a third straight double-double with 21 points and 10 rebounds, and Hutchinson had his first career double-double with 14 points and a career-high 10 assists.
•    The Lancers had four other players in double figures: Alphonzo Billups III (15 points, three steals), Emanuel Richards (11 points), Redd Thompson Jr. (10 points) and Jaylen Benard (10 points, five steals).
•    The Lancers took the lead with a 9-0 run in the first half thanks to five points from Tucker, and then the defense held Gardner-Webb scoreless for a six-minute stretch that ballooned the advantage to 28-10.
•    Colin Hawkins led Gardner-Webb with 14 points, but Longwood's defense held GWU to 38 percent shooting from the floor.

BY THE NUMBERS
•    Longwood beat Gardner-Webb by 35, the team's largest margin in Big South play since winning by 36 against USC Upstate a season ago.
•    Elijah Tucker and Jacoi Hutchinson became the first pair of Lancers to post a double-double in the same game since Szymon Zapala and Michael Christmas did so in the 2023-24 season.
•    For Tucker, it was his third straight double-double and fourth double-double of the season. He has snared 32 percent of the team's 112 rebounds in those three games.
•    On the season, Longwood is 10-5 when outrebounding its opposition.
•    The Lancer bench has outscored the opposing reserves in 18 of the team's 21 games.

•    Eight different players have scored in double figures.

•    The Lancers are 9-1 when they lead at the half, with the lone loss coming on the road at Wake Forest in December.
