WHAT THEY SAID:
"I'm so proud of the team's hard work and focus today—the consistency between rounds one and two, and staying patient with the challenging greens," said Longwood Head Coach
Megan Weaver. "This course is scorable if you're hitting irons well and are confident putting. This is what led to Avery and Chiara both having under par rounds. Overall across the team, I saw more birdie makes today than any other tournament day!"
"Most teams that compete in this event return year after year," Weaver added. "With three new players on our team competing, I think we will have even more birdie opportunities and putts dropping tomorrow!"
