FARMVILLE, Va.- Longwood field hockey had seven players earn a spot on the Academic All-MAC Team following the conclusion of the 2025 season.
 
Meghan Hyatt, Channy Johnson, Brenna Kadjeski, Sophie Mooldijk, Maria Papas, Jane Ramsay and Molly Rothenberger all were honored by the league today.
 
In order to be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must have a cumulative 3.20 GPA and have played in at least half of the team's contests this season.
 
Hyatt was a rock along the back line, starting in all 17 matches. The senior, who is majoring in elementary education and teaching, had one assist while also making two defensive saves.
 
Johnson garnered All-MAC Second Team honors at the conclusion of the regular season after leading Longwood in scoring. The junior tallied eight goals and an assist in 17 starts.
 
Kadjeski, a junior, played in 16 matches while serving an important role in the Lancer midfield. She is majoring in history.
 
Mooldijk was the team's primary goalkeeper and posted 176 saves in more than 1,000 minutes. The sophomore picked up four wins and had one shutout, and she is majoring in communication studies.
 
Papas, a senior, was an end-to-end player in the midfield for Longwood, and she started in 16 of the team's 17 matches. She made one defensive save as well, and she is majoring in kinesiology.
 
Ramsay is majoring in communication studies, and she was a big part of the Lancer midfield and forward line. The senior led the team with three assists while starting in all 17 matches.
 
Rothenberger also had a high work rate in the midfield while starting every match of her sophomore season. She had a pair of assists for the Lancers.
