FARMVILLE, Va. – Longwood field hockey forward
Channy Johnson was named to the All-MAC Second Team today when the conference announced its postseason awards.

Johnson was the top offensive threat for Longwood hockey during the season, with the junior forward leading the team with eight goals. Two of her goals were game winners, and she added an assist as well for a team-best 17 points.

Her eight goals tied for 10
th in the MAC, with her two game-winners tying for eighth.

The Gloucester, Virginia native powered home five goals in conference play, and she had both of her multi-goal efforts in MAC contests. Her dramatic overtime winner gave Longwood a road win at Kent State on October 5, and she also scored the lone goal in a 1-0 win over William & Mary.

Johnson started all 17 matches for Longwood and was incredibly efficient, posting a .500 shooting percentage with eight goals in 16 shots. She put 11 of her 16 shots on target as well.
