Longwood opens the season on September 6th, when the Davidson Wildcats travel to Farmville for a non conference match up.

The second weekend of the season, Longwood will host a pair of games between Queens and Richmond after traveling to American. A season ago, the Lancers beat both teams in their lone match ups.

The Lancers will open Mid-American Conference (MAC) play with a trip to Central Michigan on September 20th, before returning home to face off with an ACC opponent in Syracuse.

To finish out September, the Lancers will play host to MAC foes Kent State and Ohio, two teams who finished in the top four of the conference standings a season ago.

In mid-October, the Lancers host Miami of Ohio before traveling to Liberty on October 18th and 20th. Miami has won the MAC championship five years in a row, and Liberty went undefeated in the Big East during the regular season.

Following back-to-back road trips to Appalachian State and William & Mary, the Lancers close their season out with two home matches. First, the team welcomes JMU to town followed by the regular season finale against Georgetown for senior day. This will be JMU's first season in the MAC for field hockey.

Longwood is set to return 16 players from a year ago, while adding nine new faces.
