HOW IT HAPPENED:

Both the men's and women's teams got off to a strong start today in doubles play. The Longwood men (5-13) claimed the opening doubles point thanks to wins at No. 2 and No. 3 from Luis Reis/Timéo Puech and Gary Huang/Alejandro Uribe. The women followed suit with wins at No. 1 and No. 3 from Emma Nurgazieva/Karina Rizvanova and Sophia Marchetta/Wiktoria Czerny to claim their opening point.

Following their win in doubles, the men's team ran into a very talented singles team in North Carolina A&T (13-0). The Aggies won the first four matches of singles play, sealing the win to remain perfect on the season. Lukas Krause battled to a tiebreaker in his second set at No. 6, but ultimately the Aggies came out victorious.

On the women's side, North Carolina A&T (7-5) also took care of business in singles play. Maria Saez and Sophia Marchetta both forced sets to a seventh point in their matches, but the Aggies' win at No. 4 earned them the dual meet victory and forced the matches at No. 5 and No. 6 to be left unfinished.
