Box Score 2 GREENSBORO, N.C. – Ahead of their final combined dual this upcoming Monday in Farmville, Longwood men's and women's tennis traveled south to take on former Big South opponent North Carolina A&T. The men and women both dropped their respective meets by scores of 6-1 and 4-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Both the men's and women's teams got off to a strong start today in doubles play. The Longwood men (5-13) claimed the opening doubles point thanks to wins at No. 2 and No. 3 from
Luis Reis/Timéo Puech and
Gary Huang/
Alejandro Uribe. The women followed suit with wins at No. 1 and No. 3 from
Emma Nurgazieva/
Karina Rizvanova and
Sophia Marchetta/
Wiktoria Czerny to claim their opening point.
Following their win in doubles, the men's team ran into a very talented singles team in North Carolina A&T (13-0). The Aggies won the first four matches of singles play, sealing the win to remain perfect on the season.
Lukas Krause battled to a tiebreaker in his second set at No. 6, but ultimately the Aggies came out victorious.
On the women's side, North Carolina A&T (7-5) also took care of business in singles play.
Maria Saez and
Sophia Marchetta both forced sets to a seventh point in their matches, but the Aggies' win at No. 4 earned them the dual meet victory and forced the matches at No. 5 and No. 6 to be left unfinished.
