MORGANTON, N.C. – Longwood women's golf sits eighth out of 12 teams after 36 holes in their final tournament before the Big South Tournament in a little more than a week.
Emma Landis posted the team's top score on the day and is tied for 28
th.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Landis was consistent on a difficult course, with similar scores in both rounds to lead the Lancers after the first day. She averaged an even score on Par 5s, which tied for ninth in the field, and she carded a 79-77 to tie for 28
th in the 75-player field.
Meanwhile,
Peyton Schaffer fired the team's low round on the day with an opening-round 76, and she posted 24 pars to lead the team. The 24 pars tied for fourth-most in the field. She shot an
Grace Huffman shot back-to-back 80s to tie for 43
rd in the field, and
Annabelle Jennings posted a 77 followed by an 84 to sit in 48
th.
Mary-Sears Brown carded a 79-87 to tie for 57
th.
