GREENWOOD, S.C. – Longwood women's golf knocked one stroke off its best round in the Big South Championship, but a searing round from Charleston Southern saw the two teams swap places on the final day of stroke play. The Lancers finished fifth after firing a 306, their best round of the event. CSU posed a 295, which was the second-best score of any team in any round at the tournament, to vault past the Lancers.

Mary-Sears Brown and
Emma Landis posted the low rounds for the Lancers on the third and final day.

Brown came on as a sub after the first two days, and she had a strong final 10 holes. She posted eight pars and a birdie in her final 10 holes, and she didn't have anything above a bogey on the day to card a 76.

Meanwhile, Landis notched 15 holes at par or better on her way to a 76, her best round of the tournament. Landis had a pair of birdies to go with her 13 pars. She tied for 18
th.

Jennings finished with Longwood's best three-round score. She tied for 15
th after tallying a 77 in her final round. She had 13 pars on the day.

Schaffer also finished in the top 20 of the 56-player field after carding a final-round 77 to tie for 20
th. She had a birdie on her final hole of the round.

Huffman posted a pair of birdies to finish tied for 23
rd, giving Longwood four golfers in the top half of field among those who played three full rounds.
