WILSON, N.C. – Longwood men's tennis earned a tough road win at Barton College, 4-3, on Saturday afternoon. The shorthanded Lancers were missing some key players, but the team found a way.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
 
Longwood got off to a great start by winning the doubles point.Duo Guillermo Cagigas and Luis Reis pulled out the first win in doubles to set the lead, while No. 3 Gary Huang and Alejandro Uribe finished strong for Longwood in a 6-2 win over Beck and Forsberg to earn the point. 
 
At No. 2 singles, Timeo Puech battled back after falling in the first set 6-4. The freshman won sets two and three 7-5. 
 
Alejandro Uribe took care of business at No. 5 singles for the Lancers. He cruised to a 6-2, 6-3 win over Nordberg.
 
At No. 6 singles, Gary Huang helped the Lancers in a 6-4, 3-6, 6-4 win as the Lancers clinched the match.
 
 WHAT THEY SAID:
 
"Even with a few injured guys out of the lineup, the guys played hard at every position and were able to pull out the win," said Longwood Director of Tennis Adam Jackson. "It was nice to see some new faces step up and compete."
