Leading Off
•Longwood enters the week set playing the first of its six road games in April. After Tuesday's game the Lancers will begin a seven game homestand. 12 of Longwood's first 13 games in April are home matches.
•All 18 of Longwood's games in the month will take place in the Commonwealth.
•The Lancers played VMI last Tuesday, VMI taking the midweek matchup, 12-6.
•The Lancers played 20 innings of baseball on Sunday, winning 4-3 in game one and 5-4 in game two, each in 10.
•The last time Longwood played 20 innings in a doubleheader was against North Carolina A&T in 2012. The first game lasted 11 innings and the second went nine, both resulting in 4-3 Longwood wins.
•The last extra-inning doubleheader game came in 2016 when the Lancers topped Hofstra 4-3 in 12 innings.
Last Time Out
•Longwood and Radford played a weekend that featured a day off during it. After Friday's game the series concluded with a doubleheader Sunday. Each game went 10 innings. 
Nate Blakeney lifted the Lancers 4-3 on an RBI fielder's choice in game one. Radford took the series on a 5-4 game two win.
By The Numbers
•On April 4 against George Mason John Gregory put together a career game to earn the win. In a game which George Mason scored 10 runs, Gregory tossed 4.1 scoreless innings with one hit and one walk allowed and struck out nine batters en route to his first career win.
•Ryan Shull and Jawan McAllister each went deep  in the series at Charleston Southern.
•Shull sent out his first two homers, the first game one and the second game two, while McAllister hit a two-run shot with Shull aboard in game two.
•Jack Schnell and McAllister each homered in the home win against George Mason on April 4.
•Sammy Miller, Justin Mitchell, and Antwaun Tucker each got in on the power party against Radford.
•Miller's home run in the eighth inning of the first game in Sunday's doubleheader - the first of Miller's career - tied the game at three.
•Longwood won via walk-off for the first time in 2018 when Nate Blakeney hit a walk-off single against Niagara on February 24.
•Blakeney did it again with a walk-off RBI reaching on a fielder's choice in the first game of a doubleheader against Radford April 8.
•Cody Boydstun reeled in a second quality start by going 7.0 innings with three runs allowed in game one of a doubleheader against Radford April 8. Boydstun finished his outing with five consecutive scoreless innings to end the game.
•Longwood scored a season-high 13 runs in its 13-10 win against George Mason on April 4. In that game the Lancers set season highs in runs (13), RBI (12), doubles (4), triples (1), home runs (2), total bases (22), walks (11), and stolen bases (8).
•Longwood outhit VMI on April 3, 11-7, and outhit George Mason on April 4, 10-6. It was the first time in 2018 the Lancers outhit an opponent in consecutive games and was also the first time the Lancers had at least 10 hits in consecutive games.
•Freshman left-hander Daniel Brandon has pieced together six consecutive scoreless outings.
•Brandon struck out three batters and held Radford to one hit in 4.2 scoreless innings on April 6.
•Junior left-handed starter Steven Farkas sits second in the Big South with 54 strikeouts. The Lancers are third in the Big South with 281 as a team in 2018.
•Eric Harp picked up the Big South Relief Pitcher of the Week award on March 5, becoming the ninth Lancer to win a weekly award.

Scouting VMI
•As they did in 2017, Longwood and VMI are set to meet for consecutive weeks. VMI swept Longwood in the two midweek games in 2017. VMI won game one in Farmville, 12-6, last week.
•VMI is led in hitting by Matt Pita, who is hitting .358 with a team-high seven home runs, a team-best 28 RBI, and 14 doubles, which is tied for seventh in the nation. Pita is in the top five in the SoCon in hits, runs, slugging, doubles, homers, total bases, and stolen bases.
•VMI has four .300 hitters with Pita (.358), Matt Dunlevy (.314), Will Malbon (.303), and Peyton Maddox (.302),. VMI is hitting .265 with 29 home runs as a team.
•VMI has two wins against ranked teams, one over #19 South Carolina and at #15 Virginia.
