2017: Selected to the All-Big South Second Team ... led the Big South with 91 strikeouts ... made 14 appearances with 13 starts and two complete games ... posted a 3.54 ERA and a 4-5 record in 76.1 innings and a batting average against of .253 ... became Longwood's first-ever two-time Big South Pitcher of the Week ... led team with six quality starts ... had four 10-strikeout games and struck out five or more batters nine times ... struck out 10 batters in 7.1 innings of two-run ball at UNC-Wilmington (3/11) ... picked up Big South Pitcher of the Week honors after striking out 10 batters in 8.1 scoreless innings with three hits and one walk allowed in a combined shutout of Charleston Southern (3/18) ... earned second Big South Pitcher of the Week award with a career-high 13 strikeouts in 9.0 innings with one unearned run allowed ... struck out 10 batters in complete game loss, allowing two runs in 8.0 innings at UNC Asheville (5/12).
2016: Transferred from Pensacola State Community College (Fla.) ... made 12 appearances with one start ... posted a 5.59 ERA and struck out 23 batters across 29.0 innings ... picked up the win on four innings of relief against Wagner in first appearance (2/26) ... picked up second win in 6.0 quality innings at VMI (3/2).
2015 (Pensacola State Community College): Transferred to Pensacola State Community College (Fla.) and appeared in 13 games with three starts as a sophomore … went 2-2 with a 4.81 ERA … struck out 42 batters in 43 innings pitched with four walks … struck out a career-high 10 batters in five innings of work with no runs allowed in a win against Bishop State Community College (2/13) … two of three starts were quality starts … went seven innings and allowed two runs (one earned) on five hits with four strikeouts and no walks in a winning start against Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (2/28) … pitched six innings and allowed one unearned run on four hits with six strikeouts to one walk, but received no decision against Baton Rouge Community College (3/7).
2014 (Palm Beach State College): Played in eight games as a freshman at Palm Beach State College (Fla.) … went 2-2 out of the bullpen with a 3.38 ERA in 24 innings of work … struck out 14 batters with five walks … struck out a season-high five batters in 4.2 innings of scoreless work out of the bullpen and got the win against Northwood University JV (3/27) … spun seven innings of scoreless relief against Northwood University JV (4/10).
High School: Four-year letter winner at Santaluces Community High School (Fla.) … went 9-1 as a pitcher in senior season and was named captain … named county player of the year and county pitcher of the year.
Personal: Born Cody Andrew Wager on August 29, 1994 … son of Curtis and Phyllis Wager … has three siblings, Nicole, Joey (Williamson), and Casey … Joey played baseball at Notre Dame and professionally with the Colorado Rockies … aspires to be a Sports Psychologist.
