The Opening Tip• Longwood hosts Radford in the Big South home opener Saturday at 5 p.m. The game is the nightcap of a home double header with the Longwood women's team, which hosts Campbell at 2 p.m.
• Longwood is 3-1 in Willett Hall this season. The Lancers have outscored opponents by an average of 12.5 points per game at home.
• Of Longwood's last four losses, three have come after the Lancers cut the deficit to one possession in the final minute of regulation.

By The Numbers• Longwood leads the Big South in both forced turnovers and steals. The Lancers have forced 224 turnovers and swiped 106 steals as the only team in the league with 200-plus forced turnovers Longwood is 3-1 when forcing at least 20 turnovers.
• The Dec. 20 win against Penn State Beaver in Willett Hall was the 500th victory in Longwood men's basketball history. Longwood is 500-576 all-time.

Quincy Taylor averages 26.3 points per game in his three home games in Willett Hall. Taylor has scoring totals of 34 points in a 74-73 win against Dartmouth, 26 in a 77-67 loss to UT Martin and 19 in a 106-74 win over Penn State Beaver at home this season.

Shaquille Johnson lead the Big South in minutes per game. Taylor averages a league-best 33.27 minutes per game, while Johnson ranks second with 32.15 minutes per game.Taylor has played 30-plus minutes in nine of his 11 games, while Johnson has played 30-plus in 10 of 13 games.
• Johnson has scored at least 18 points and hit eight field goals in three consecutive games entering Saturday. The eight field goals match his career high, while his 22 points versus Penn state Beaver and 18 against Ball State and Winthrop are the highest scoring totals of his collegiate career.

Ryan Badowski averages 9.6 points per game for the Big South's fourth-highest scoring average off the bench. Badowski averages 23.1 minutes per game but has started just one of his 14 contests. Taylor has scored in double figures six times and has hit at least three three-pointers in three straight games entering Wednesday's matchup.
