The Opening Tip• Longwood opens the 2014-15 regular season with eight of its first 10 games on the road. The Lancers opened their season at Wake Forest on Saturday afternoon. The Lancers will play their second straight team from a power five conference, as the squad plays at Florida on Monday, Nov. 17 at 4:15 p.m. The game will be available to watch on SEC Network+.
• Longwood is in its fifth season under the guidance of head coach
Bill Reinson. In 2013, Reinson led the Lancers to the Big South Championship game, before falling to Liberty.
• Florida is the second straight school of a total of five power five teams that Longwood will play this season - Wake Forest, Florida, Virginia Tech, Virginia and Clemson.

Daeisha Brown scored 19 of her 29 points in the second half against Wake Forest on Saturday, as Longwood dropped a hard-fought decision in Winston-Salem, 64-60.
• Brown's 29 points tied a career-high for the junior from Richmond, Va. She also tallied 29 points at Charleston Southern (1/4/14) last season, while scoring 29 points against High Point (1/24/13) during her freshman campaign.

Kyndal Skersick notched 10 points against Wake Forest, as she was 3-of-8 from the floor and 2-of-6 from beyond the arc.

Khalilah Ali posted a strong game on the boards for Longwood against the Demon Deacons, as she pulled down a team-best nine rebounds to go along with five blocks.
The Opening Tip• Longwood's projected starting lineup features a veteran group, including four juniors and one sophomore. The five projected starters have started a combined 150 games.
• Last season the Lancers finished fourth in the Big South with a turnover margin of +1.17. Longwood forced 16.3 turnovers per contest, while turning the ball over 15.1 times.
• Longwood returns 87 percent of its scoring from a season ago, including its top three scorers.

Daeisha Brown has started 53 of 57 career games at Longwood. The junior scored in double figures 18 times throughout last season, including six 20-point games. In addition, the 5-3 guard logged three games with double-digit rebounds.

Kyndal Skersick was Longwood's top long distance shooter a season ago. Skersick led the Lancers in three-point field goals with 38, while also leading the Lancers with a free-throw percentage of .787.
