CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Coming off of consecutive 20-win seasons, the Longwood women's basketball team learned its Big South Conference schedule on Wednesday.

The Lancers will open the 2026-27 league campaign Dec. 30 against Presbyterian at the Joan Perry Brock Center, kicking off a 16-game slate.

Longwood is set to face each Big South opponent twice during the regular season, beginning with a four-game sequence that includes home meetings with Presbyterian and Gardner-Webb before trips to Charleston Southern and Winthrop.

The Lancers will begin the new year at home Jan. 6 against Gardner-Webb before making the trip to Charleston Southern on Jan. 9. Longwood then travels to Winthrop on Jan. 16 and High Point on Jan. 20 before returning to JPB for a Jan. 23 matchup with UNC Asheville.

Longwood closes January with three games, traveling to USC Upstate on Jan. 27 before hosting Charleston Southern on Jan. 30.

February features eight conference games, beginning with a Feb. 6 home matchup against Winthrop. The Lancers then head to UNC Asheville and Presbyterian on Feb. 10 and 13, respectively, before returning home for consecutive contests against USC Upstate on Feb. 17 and High Point on Feb. 20.

The regular season concludes with Longwood on the road for its final two games. The Lancers travel to Radford on Feb. 24 before closing the regular season Feb. 27 at Gardner-Webb.

The 2027 Big South Women's Basketball Championship is scheduled for March 3-4 and March 6-7 at Freedom Hall Civic Center in Johnson City, Tenn. The tournament begins with the first round March 3, followed by the quarterfinals March 4, semifinals March 6 and championship game March 7.

Game times for conference games will be announced at a later date. The schedule is subject to change, including adjustments due to television.
