FORT WORTH, Texas -- Longwood University will remain on the road to play its second men's basketball game of the season at TCU (0-1) of the Big 12 Conference on Tuesday night, Nov. 12 at 8 p.m. at the Daniel-Meyer Coliseum in Fort Worth, Texas. The game against the Horned Frogs will be televised regionally on FOX Sports Southwest Plus TV. It will be the program's second game under first-year head coach
Jayson Gee, and the game can be heard locally on WVHL Radio, Kickin' Country 92.9 FM or via the Internet at

Longwood and TCU have never met on the hardwood, though the Lancers are 0-5 against members of the Big 12 Conference. Most recently, Longwood lost at Colorado (now in the Pac-12) by a score of 104-59 on December 19, 2010.

Looking At TCU
TCU is 0-1 overall, 0-0 in the Big 12 after a season-opening 69-61 loss to SMU at the American Airlines Center last Friday night (Nov. 8). Trent Johnson is in his second year with the program after four seasons at LSU (2008-12, 67-64), four seasons at Stanford (2004-08, 80-47) and five seasons at Nevada (1999-2004, 79-74). TCU was led against SMU by 6-6 freshman Brandon Parrish (13 points, 3 3FGs), who was joined in the starting lineup by 6-6 senior Jarvis Ray (9 points), 5-11 junior Kyan Anderson (9 points, 8 assists), 6-10 freshman Karviar Shepherd (8 points, 8 rebounds), and 6-6 freshman Hudson Price (3 points). The Horned Frogs shot 35% (17-48) from the field, including 44% (8-18) on three-pointers, and 86% (19-22) at the line.

"It was frustrating from the standpoint that we just couldn't score the ball. I thought we played well enough in the first half to be closer, but when you don't score against a team of that magnitude, you're going to struggle. What I love about basketball is that you do not have to wait seven days to play again. We'll go back at it in practice and get a game plan ready to compete, and find a way to get some things done in Texas."
