Thomas Signs Kauzonas for 2026-27

UNCG Transfer Joins Longwood Men's Basketball

FARMVILLE, Va. – Longwood Head Men's Basketball Coach Ronnie Thomas announced the addition of Domas Kauzonas to the team's roster for the 2026-27 basketball season.
 
Kauzonas joins the Lancers following three seasons at UNC Greensboro that saw him play in more than 60 games.
 
"Domas comes from a strong program and has been guided by an outstanding coach in Mike Jones. He brings a high level of offensive skill and a veteran presence, having contributed to multiple 20-win teams during his college career. His energy and passion for the game are unmatched, and we're excited to see how he embraces this new opportunity and contributes to our program."
 
Over his three years at UNCG, the Vilnius, Lithuania played 66 games while shooting better than 56 percent from the floor. He averaged 2.3 points and 1.7 rebounds per game.
 
This past year, Kauzonas had an expanded role that saw him play in all 34 games, with six starts. The 6'10, 240-pound forward scored in double figures three times, including in the season opener against Kansas State. He helped the team make a run to the Southern Conference Semifinals.
 
He played in the FIBA U18 European Challengers in 2021, and he averaged 4.5 points and 2.3 rebounds per game.
 
He joins a Longwood side that has won two Big South titles in the past five seasons, and the team is entering year two under Thomas.
